Juliana Bollini
Juliana Bollini (Buenos Aires - Argentina, 1970), born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, completed a degree in Fine Arts, at the National School of Fine Arts “Prilidiano Pueyrredón” - Buenos Aires, specializing in Engraving. In the 1990s, she began working with papier mâché. Five years later, she moved to São Paulo, where she still lives and where she developed her own style, using scrap and paper as the main raw materials for creating sculptures, which are usually later photographed, providing a differentiated final format of the work. Juliana’s photomontages and sculptures have been added to private art collections. Her first work in children’s illustration was in 2009. In 2011, the book “O Papai é Meu!”, with text by Ilan Brenman (Moderna Publisher), was selected by Crescer (a Brazilian magazine) as one of the 30 best children’s books of the year. And in 2012 Juliana took part in the “Mostra Internazionale dell’Illustrazione per l’Infanzia of Sarmede”, in Italy. In 2015 she published, by Companhia das Letrinhas, the book ‘’The nothing to do’s’’, in partnership with author Jean Claude R. Alphen.
